Praise

Olivia began supporting Praise from a case management perspective in 2021. Praise suffered a SCI following a Road Traffic Accident, resulting in Tetraplegia. Prior to her injury, Praise had just finished her A levels (with outstanding results), and she was due to start at The University of Liverpool to commence her degree in Medicine.

Praise completed her inpatient rehabilitation at Southport & Sandpipers before then completing an intensive rehabilitation placement at STEPS Rehab Centre in Sheffield. Olivia has supported Praise with all aspects of her rehabilitation, care, equipment and accommodation. Praise has worked very hard in all her therapy disciplines and has had a great MDT supporting her along the way, including input from a specialist neuro physiotherapist, occupational therapist, and psychologist over the past few years. It goes without saying, that Praise has made fantastic progress in all therapy disciplines and continues to push forward and put 100% into her ongoing rehab and recovery.

Praise has since begun her undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at The University of Liverpool, and she is really enjoying this. Praise is living on campus and commuting back home on the weekends and during the holidays to spend time with her family. She has also attended many concerts, festivals and has led seminars and enjoyed public speaking.

Praise has also taken many holidays abroad since her injury, travelling to Tenerife, Malta and more recently, to Dubai! Olivia and the team at SICM are honored to have had the opportunity to support Praise and be part of her journey seeing the amazing progress she has made along the way. She is truly, such an inspirational young lady and we know Praise will be going on to achieve great things, so watch this space!
