When meeting Olivia for the first time I felt at ease as she was really easy to talk to and very polite, helpful and non-judgemental. She made everything clear and explained everything in a good manner and was highly professional. Throughout my case Olivia was always helping and organising things for me to do and keeping me busy. I found this took a lot of stress and workload from myself, I often had suggestions of things to try out from Olivia as she knew I was still really into sports but I didn’t have much networking or sign posting to get me there, she really impacted my case and recovery in such a positive way and me and my family are grateful, she is a true professional at her job and making negative situations positive.

Olivia has been may case manager for three years now and has been supportive, compassionate and a guiding hand throughout this process. Her experience in the field of SCI has been invaluable in making my life easier in ways I hadn’t ever realised it could be. From the very first meeting she has been understanding of my needs – both personal and for my wider family – and a reassuring support to both my wife and myself. The expertise knowledge and in-depth awareness she possesses of all things SCI have allowed me to taste, sample and explore what best fits my needs and makes both mine and my family’s life easier to navigate.

Even when I reached the point of feeling there was nothing more to explore and that life was good again, Olivia would check in with me on how life was for me and still be there at hand to support the next parts of my SCI journey.
What I have valued probably the most from this experience – aside from the genuine understanding and compassion from her nurturing style – has been the gentle and non-intrusive ways she’s made certain aspects of living with an SCI easier. Wow what an emotional rollercoaster and I couldn’t have got through it without the help and support from Olivia. She really is an amazing Case Manager, she’s a true caregiver, kind and empathetic person whom even in your darkest moments when you can’t find a solution, she can and she lifts you with positivity of what can be done and what you can achieve with help.
