Andy

Spinal Injury Case Management Ltd began supporting Andy from a case management perspective in 2023. Andy suffered a SCI resulting in T10 complete paraplegia following an accident whilst out riding his motorbike. Prior to his injury, Andy had joined the army in 2015 working in Royal Electrical & Mechanical Engineering. Olivia first met with Andy at DMRC, Stanford Hall.

Andy began working with a specialist neuro-physiotherapist & psychologist. Support was also offered with equipment trials/demos and longer-term vehicle provision. Over the years, Andy has thrown himself into different challenges and tried hard in all areas of his ongoing rehabilitation. He has explored lots of new hobbies, interests, and activities such as wheelchair rugby, skiing & flying lessons! He is now on the GB talent Squad for GB para-Alpine skiing and is constantly on the move!

Andy has also taken many holidays aboard, such as 6 weeks in America (Colorado) and hopes his experiences will inspire others. He has always pushed forward with a positive and resilient approach. From a CM perspective, we are extremely proud of Andy, the progress he has made over the years and feel honored to have supported throughout his recovery journey.
